age. We know that many fun and exciting things will be happening throughout your child's next year. The Second Year
Cognitive Development
Children learn about the world by using trial and error as well as all five of their senses. Children this age can think before they do something.
Social Development
Children enjoy being with other children their age. They like to play social games such as peek-a-boo and pat-a-cake.
Emotional Development
Children can display feelings of anger, enjoyment, fear, and affection. They exhibit a strong desire for independence.
Fine Motor Development
Children use pincer grasp to pick up small objects and finger foods and can scribble with a crayon.
Gross Motor Development
Children develop use of large muscles in arms and legs. They enjoy pushing and pulling toys and also enjoy fill and dump games.
