Our preschool room currently provides secure, safe, and loving care for children 3 years of age by August 31. Our goal is to create a "home away from home" where your child will feel nurtured, loved, and encouraged to learn by participaing in many hands-on activites.
Our day is filled with opportunities for learning through circle time, movement & music, centers, stories, and group & art activities.Each day we learn more about God by listening to Bible stories, learning Bible verses, and exploring his world through the use of our senses.At this young age, the process of creating is is the emphasis; not necessarily the product3’s & Young 4’s
Cognitive Development
Children sort objects by color, size, and shape. They think about and predict cause and effect relationships. Children understand “now” and “later” and understand counting.
Social and Emotional Development
Children use pretend play to understand the world. They learn to share, cooperate, and to take turns and want to experience new activities. Children this age develop friendships and play with other children.
Language Development
Children understand and follow simple commands involving up to three different directions. They remember details, story sequences, ideas, and bits of information learned from books.
Physical Development
Children this age can run well and climb easily. They can hop and stand on one foot. They can draw circles and squares. Children can copy some capital letters and can build block towers with nine or more blocks.
What To Bring:
Fitted crib sheet, small pillow and blanket for naptime.
Seasonally appropriate chage of clothes.
Helmet for riding bikes.
